Pastoral Cards
If you have ever received a card, you understand the powerful message of multiple signatures. The written salutation might be simple but the fact that so many cared enough to sign the card and add their own short message is really touching. Imagine being held in the thoughts and prayers of all those people! The individual(s) designated to receive pastoral cards are identified in the Sunday bulletin. However it is easy to request that a card be sent to someone. All that is needed is the name of the individual or family, and perhaps the address if it is not in the church directory. The supply of note cards and special occasion cards is kept in an upper cabinet in the room with the duplicating machine.
Crystal Ettridge and I make up the committee responsible for Pastoral Cards. Benno Schmidt, Karen Melchar, Tucker and Jane Battle, and Caroline Donnelly have stepped in to cover times when we are away on Sunday. If you would like to join us in this outreach ministry, please let me know!
