Grace and peace. Last week I wrote about preparations for Lent at St. Patrick’s. I encourage you to continue thinking about the steps you will employ beginning on Ash Wednesday (a week from today).
I write today about the upcoming mission trips for our youth. There are two trips this summer sponsored by PRAY (Potomac Region Anglican Youth). One is for older youth (rising 9th-12th grade students) to Haiti from June 16-20, 2018. The other is for younger youth (rising 6th-10th grade students) to an Appalachian service project in Kentucky from June 18-23, 2018. Each of these trips already have St. Patrick’s youth signed up. I will be traveling with the group to Haiti and Deacon Sue will be traveling to Kentucky. The deadline to sign up is February 15, 2018. Please send your questions to Deacon Sue or to me.
The PRAY group will be touring the Bible Museum this Sunday at 2pm. There are still openings. Please sign up today.
Sunday is the last Sunday after the Epiphany. It is our tradition to celebrate with jazz music in the spirit of the Mardi Gras. We will also have a pancake breakfast between the 9am and 10:30am services (beginning at 9:45). Please join us.
