Grace and peace. Thank you for your prayers while I was in Nebraska helping my mom move my dad into an Alzheimer’s unit this past weekend. He is settling into his new home. My mom can visit as often as she wants and is taking care of the many things she could not do while she was caring for him full-time. I am back in Washington, but plan to return to Nebraska for Thanksgiving.
On November 5, we will celebrate All Saints’ at St. Patrick’s. All Saints’ is one of the major celebrations of the Christian calendar. We will be remembering our past saints and offering baptism for our future ones. If you or someone you know is interested in baptism, please let me know. We will have baptisms at both the 9am and 10:30am services.
It is also our All Saints’ tradition to honor loved ones who have died. The list will include those interred in our columbarium and those whose funeral service was held here at St. Patrick’s in the past year. If you would like to add someone else to that list, please send an email to . Like last year, we will also be preparing a slide show of pictures of our parishioner’s saints which will be shown on our screens. If you would like to add a picture or pictures to that slide show, please send them to .
Also on All Saints’ Sunday, we will dedicate our new columbarium section in memory of Peter Jobusch and chairs in our worship space. If you would like to dedicate a chair, please complete the form and send it to by October 22. The cost to dedicate a chair is $500.
