Friendship Feasts
The tables were decorated with bright paper napkins, curling ribbon, candy, and of course plenty of candles. The lights were restored the day of the Friendship Feast. Although the turnout was not spectacular in numbers it certainly was a true Friendship Feast. It is amazing how much we have come to rely on modes of communicating like e-mail and telephones that require electricity to remind us of events.
Nearly 40 St. Patrick’s parishioners have joined this year’s Friendship Feasts. This successful beginning was the direct result of the diligent efforts of Lalie Tongour and Leslie Malone. The four Feast groups have had several wonderful dinners with a great crowd at the Tongours, intimate dinners for eight, as well as dinners combined with watching the eclipse of the moon. The food has been scrumptious and the company stimulating. We encourage you all to make the next date for your Friendship Feast group and invite someone new to experience this warm experience of building closer friendships in our spiritual community.
