All that I have comes from God who has given me life, and entrusted me with talents and treasure to use in this world. As a responsible steward of God's creations, I make this new commitment to God through the community of St. Patrick's:

Why look at your pledge as a percent of your income? As Christian stewards of God’s gifts to our lives, we believe that what we have belogs to God and must be used to accomplish God’s purpose. The biblical standard for giving is 10% and has been affirmed by several General Conventions of the Episcopal Church as the minimum standard.

As you consider your supplementary pledge for 2008, notice what percent of your income you give back to St. Patrick's. What about other charities? Is there a difference to you in giving to your church and other charities? How and why do you share your gifts with St. Patrick's?

Does your employer have a matching funds program? Did you know that your pledge to St. Patrick’s qualifies for matching funds at many companies?

Many employers will match charitable donations dollar for dollar—others match at an even higher rate. So the value of your annual pledge to St. Patrick’s can easily be doubled or even tripled.

To take advantage of this program, just ask for a matching funds form from your employer, human resources office or matching funds department. Then complete it and return it to St. Patrick’s.
