Most of our members state that the community at St. Patrick’s is why they join and stay for many years. And it is special!

Warm, inviting, and inclusive, our community relies on our members to be engaged, help it grow, and be part of its leadership.

There are many ways to become involved in the leadership of our community. Take a look at the groups below, and send us a message about how you would like to be involved.

Ushers provide the support and hospitality that makes our worship and Sunday morning offerings a reality. Ushers should plan to arrive and stay after the service by about 15 minutes. Please contact church office if you are interested in serving as an usher.

Servers help the clergy with the leadership of worship service. Servers should plan to arrive 15 minutes early to put on vestments and to do last minute service preparations. If you are interested in becoming a server, contact the church office

Members of the Altar Guild prepare and clean the altar area before and after a worship service. Altar Guild members should arrive early and expect to stay after to complete their very important ministry. Contact Karen Melchar to join the Altar Guild.

Members of the Flower Guild work in two-person teams to arrange the flowers for Sunday service. Typically, this work is done on Friday or Saturday for the upcoming week. Contact Trisha Heatherman to join the Flower Guild.

Public reading of scripture is an important part of our worship. Readers are provided a reading by email on Thursday or Friday in preparation for service on Sunday. Contact church office if you are interested in being a reader.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM) help with worship at the time of Communion, and work with the priest to distribute the consecrated wine and bread to the congregation. LEMs may also share the sacrament with members of the congregation who were unable to be present at the celebration because of illness or infirmity. Contact the church office if you are interested in becoming a LEM.

St. Patrick’s is a welcoming place with a goal of bringing new members into our community. We rely on volunteers to reach out to prospective new members to share news about our church and community, and welcome them to join us for Sunday service or other events. If you are gifted as a welcomer, contact Eleni Lobene to be a part of the Newcomer Committee.

Stewardship is more than a financial contribution, it is about giving up something that is precious which opens the heart to the needs of others. We are blessed with the tools and the community we need to learn and grow as disciples, and we are committed to sharing those blessings with others.

A stewardship campaign takes place every year at St. Patrick’s and is led by a committee of people who want every member to participate. Without their work, much of the ministries we do would not happen.

We have many outreach activities every year and hold fundraisers to support St. Patrick’s work in the community. The Outreach Committee oversees this work.

If you are interested in joining this committee, contact Marilyn Nowalk

This committee works with the parish treasurer to create a budget and a financial plan to support St. Patrick’s in achieving its mission. Contact JB Meek to join the Finance Committee.

The Vestry is the group of elected leaders of the parish, with at least three people elected every year for two-year terms along with three wardens.

The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed; to select the rector; to ensure effective organization and planning; and to manage resources and finances.

Please refer to Our Team for a list of current Vestry members, and contact Senior Warden Jo Anne Nelson if you are interested in serving.
